Patrick Harison is an accordionist who is equally adept in the worlds of jazz, classical and folk music. He currently resides in Minneapolis, MN and performs in a diverse variety of settings.

The days are getting longer and the snow banks are getting shorter. Seems like a good time for me to hit the road and await springs full arrival in fair Minneapolis. I'll be gone March 13th-April 13th, first heading out east for a couple of weeks and then rolling down to New Orleans, LA. In New York, Patty and The Buttons will be playing a couple dances and I'll be joining the Baby Soda Jazz Band for some dates as well. In New Orleans I'll be playing with all my old friends on the street and the bandstand. I can't wait for a good does of some lazy swamp air.
Before I leave, there are a couple cool shows happening in the midwest that I encourage you to check out. THIS FRIDAY (3/5) Eisner's Klezmorim will be at CAFE MAUDE recapping a very happy Purim season. MONDAY (3/8) you'll have the opportunity to hear Leisure Valley (feat. Bruce Thornton on Clarinet) sandwiched in between two Fat Kid Wednesday sets at THE CLOWN LOUNGE.

After a nice 3 week vacation from accordion (doctor's orders) I'm getting ready to go back to life as a full time accordion slinger. All of my february appearances have been posted to the dates page, I hope to see you all once I'm out and about again.

I hope your 2010 is going well! Here in pattyland, we're preparing for a break from music. I'm going to be going under the knife for a minor operation and won't be able to play for 3 weeks. Right now, I'm shopping for a nice cane... Anyhow, there's still a few more shows coming up until I'm down and out.. On January 17th, The Dakota is hosting a big hot club event w/ The Clearwater Hot Club, Twin Cities Hot Club and Parisota Hot Club. These bands haven't appeared on one stage together for years, so it should be a blast. Then, I'll begin my convalescence. Please feel free to buy me a drink (or flowers) if you see me hobbling around town with my cane. I'll be back playing again by the middle of February, wish me luck!
