Excerpt from liner notes:

This album is my first outing as a solo artist. Because of this, I wanted to make it as autobiographical as possible. The title refers to the generations of musicians who have come before me. The musicians whose raw, emotional and powerful performances move me beyond words. Those who walk the street, playing anything for anyone who will listen. Why? Because of the pure joy that comes with the power of music to transport it's listeners. Long before the days of television, radio and jukeboxes, there were only real flesh and blood musicians. Artists who played for people in fleeting performances, the kind in which notes are not remembered, but the images conjured are. While many of the streetwalking artists I love may have eventually moved indoors and on to greatness, they always remain streetwalkers at heart. I hope this album catches the spirit of my musical heroes while rendering images that make the listener pine for another time and another place. And remember, while your fast asleep, I will be wandering the dark and dreary streets, trying to find someone who will listen...
